Today I wanted to talk to you about different types of personalities and different types of behavior that you can encounter when you have a task that needs to be done.
How can you foresee it or how can you avoid it?
I'm not going to give you the solution. I'm just going to, you know, tell you what I experience and stuff. I still need to figure out how to solve it myself. If you guys have any pointers as well and you want to help, then please let me know.
So, for example, if you have a task at hand. So there's something you need to do and you need some support, you need to find some people to help you out. And you need to recruit some people.
So you hire some people, they're very motivated and stuff that like, yeah, man, it's going to be awesome. I'm going to do this, I'm going to do that and stuff. So everybody's like, I'm going to do this, I'm going to do that and everything. But not everybody will do what they say.
There are a lot of people who would just like talk the talk, but donโt walk the walk. And the people who show up every single day, they're actually very rare. I want to talk about three different profiles.
So the first profile is, you know, someone is like, man this is going to be awesome. I'm so motivated about this man. I'm going to give it my all and you're going to be super happy and blah, blah, blah.
And then afterwards, nothing. You don't hear and don't do anything. And there is no actual reason why they don't do anything. ย In a lot of cases, there is actually no explanation of why it's not done. And so that's the first case scenario where people promise you the moon and well, deliver nothing.

But I guess with everything I'm saying here, yeah, there is a solution. The solution would be knowing the people before you actually go and hire them. If you have experience with how they are and stuff, you can avoid it.
Then there's a second scenario. Still the same person. I'm still motivated, it's going to be so awesome, I'm going to do this, I'm going to do that, it's going to be super cool. What's the task? Oh, I love the task. I'm going to do it and stuff like that. And then afterwards, when they start, they do start. They do something.
So it's not that they don't do anything like the first group, but they will do something that's not related. And they get distracted really easily and they end up in other stuff. And whatever was supposed to be done in the first place, it's just not done because we're spending too much time on other details and stuff.
So that could be you as well. I know. Sometimes I get distracted as well. And, you know, instead of focusing on the like the core, what we need to focus on, I'm looking at some details and stuff that actually don't make too big a difference.
And then the third group is people are, yeah it's going to be so cool. I love this. I'm going to kill it. And then they deliver. I mean, these people, they show up every day. They deliver on what they promised and they do insane work.
And again, that's something that you need to understand. It doesn't have to be perfect. Just do it and then you can refine it afterwards. And you have this third category of people who do that. They just do it. And these people are precious, man. I mean, I don't know how you find them or you find them without actually realizing it on the spot.
So that's the reason why you have a probation period as well, because everybody can lie about, oh, man, I'm going to work twenty hours a day and obviously its not going to happen.
So these are three of the kind of profiles that I see. And obviously what you want is people who deliver.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which three types of people will most affect your business?
The three types are the energy drainers who slow you, the time wasters who consume your calendar with no result, and the value creators who quietly accelerate everything they touch. Knowing which type sits in front of you, before signing a contract or accepting a partnership, decides much of the next year of your business.
How do I identify an energy drainer before they hurt my business?
Watch the first three interactions. Energy drainers complain, deflect, and bring up past grievances quickly. They also send long messages full of urgency without specifics. Trust the early pattern, because it rarely improves. Charging a higher minimum, requiring written briefs, and keeping calls short are simple filters that screen most drainers out.
What does a true value creator do for your business?
A value creator brings clarity, finishes what they start, and proposes solutions before raising problems. They reduce decisions on your plate, refer good clients, and protect the relationship even when it is not their job. One real value creator inside your business or network is worth more than ten generic contacts collected at events.
How can I attract more value creators into my business circle?
Attract value creators by being one yourself. Ship clean work, keep your word, and pay people promptly. Speak well of other operators and credit their contribution publicly. The signal travels. Value creators want to work with people who behave the way they do, and your reputation does most of the recruiting for you over time.
