The big difference between winners and losers.

Hey guys today we are going to explore one of the common traits of winners and how it helps them overcome obstacles.

I wanted to talk to you about one key element that you need to be able to make it in this business OK. Reason why I'm telling you about this is because I'm working on a project of creating a brand. Not for me, but for someone else. And I realized there are things that you have in your head and you don't realize that other people don't have that until you're faced with this situation.

And today we have a situation where we need to find a supplier for something and basically the conclusion was “dude it's not possible, let's give up” and you know people are demoralized and we all lose faith and all that stuff. And I was like well you know what? You shouldn't care about what's not possible. You should care about how you can make it happen. That's the thing. So you basically have to be resourceful. That's what I wanted to say.

Resourcefulness is something that will make or break your entrepreneurship career. OK. Because people just assume that when you are an entrepreneur you have your business, and everything just rolls and there are no problems. But there are problems man like you will face problems.

So when you face a problem sometimes it's just you. You have to fix it. You have to find the solution to the problem and the best skill you can have is to know someone who can do stuff for you, right? You must know who to ask.

The big difference between winners and losers

So resourcefulness and high spirit is what's going to make or break you. If you're demoralized every time you have a problem and you feel like giving up and all that stuff you're never going to get anywhere. In this particular business. Well if you have the opposite attitude of “Oh Jesus Christ. OK. We hit a wall. How do we get around the damn wall?

So either we jump over the wall or we go around the wall or we dig a hole you know under the wall? We don't care” or you're just like you know run through a wall. It's going to hurt a little bit but you're going to pierce a hole through the hole to the damn wall. And that's all you need to worry about. And you don't realize that this grit and this resourcefulness that you have is not widespread. Right.

And you always have to remind the people that aren’t doing well. Let's slow down here. Let's stop being demoralized and everything and try to find a solution because where there is the problem there is a solution!

And every time you fix a problem then you are one step ahead of someone who gave up at that moment. OK so this is something I want you guys to remember it's not about what's not possible OK. Pretty much everything is possible. There are things that are not possible right now and they may be in the future. But most of the time what you think is impossible, it's possible.

So we were facing a problem where we're trying to get something good done. It’s custom made. There's going to be a problem and it’s going to cost a lot of money. So I was like “You know what? Let's try to find a substitute for it”.

First of all, do we actually need that exact piece for the launch? Can we launch a valuable product without that piece? So then afterwards, once we sell something, we reinvest the money and then we can afford that piece. So first of all, whatever is blocking you right now…. is it essential to your product? Can you launch a product without it?  So the answer was we absolutely can!

And what we came up with was we can actually find the piece if we look for  small stores around here I'm pretty sure we can find that piece and then afterwards we take it to someone and that person can laser engrave it and stuff and then afterwards we can mass produce it.

There is always a solution but it's just that this was a revelation for me. Just how different the mind-set is once you've been in this business for a while, compared with people who haven't. Because I mean for me it was just a minor bump in the road.

Your high spirit is your best weapon. How can I make it happen?

Resourcefulness. This is what's going to help you. And again nobody cares about what you can't do.
