So yesterday I was giving a testimonial for a course that I followed on advanced automation.

And the reason why I give the testimonial is because the dude is awesome. He's very helpful. And the content of the course is really helpful.

This is a very nice lady who was in charge of taking my testimonial, you know, what my motivations were behind all the automation and everything I do. And it was very interesting for her. I was so pumped up about it that she was like, oh, man, I'm thinking about looking into that stuff myself, you know?

And I just want to kind of like reiterate what I am known for, what I keep telling you and what I said yesterday, because these matter a lot and you should be reminded because you tend to forget them.

She was asking me, OK, so what was your main motivation for going through course and learning that stuff?

OK, so everybody knows the saying, time is money, OK, because your time has a price and generally the way it is presented to you is while you're not doing this trivial task, you could be out building clients and all that kind of stuff.

How much is one hour of your time worth? How much would you charge someone for one hour of your time? And you've probably heard this before and it's actually a good metric for you to understand.

This is how it is actually sold by a lot of people. But here's the thing. I'm not a lot of people. And that's not necessarily how I see things. I see things from a different perspective.

My take is not how much would you charge someone for one hour of your time. My take is how much is your life worth to you?

I'm all about my lifestyle. And I want to make the most of my life. So how much is your life worth to you? So if you're not willing to pay someone five dollars for your life, then, well, then you have a problem. I'll be willing to give a lot more than this to be able to have my life.

OK, so you have to understand that all these trivial tasks that you have to do every single day, you don't actually realize how much it adds up. It will add up to and ten minutes here, 15 minutes there and all that kind of stuff. They're not hard to do.

So we're not talking about really hard, complicated things. It's the small, easy things that are actually taking most of our time, because this is usually where you will focus your attention because it is daunting to go at something that requires you to think and process stuff.

It takes a significant part of your life. You don't actually have time to live. And my take is, dude, I don't want to spend a third of my life working. I would rather have a life. And there are ways for you to be able to do this.

And so I told her, look, I'm very good at automation now because of the different courses that I follow. My take is I like to go to experts and I learn stuff that I didn't necessarily know. So I knew stuff about automation. But there are people who do automation as well, and you're looking at it from a completely different angle.

And then I learn stuff and I just apply it to myself, you know? So I mean, for me, there is no greater cause to fight for than your life.

So this is what you should be looking for more than what kind of like business I can set up. How can I have the best lifestyle possible where I have a choice? So you know, this podcast here, it's called Freedom by Choice.

I named it like this because this is what I live. I live for my freedom of choice. And that's all I'm about. You know, I spend all my energy creating this and protecting it. I've done this for years and I want you guys to be able to experience this.

The Skill You Take For Granted Is Someone Else's Expensive Problem

The strangest lesson in business is how blind you are to your own value. Something you figured out the hard way, that now feels obvious and boring to you, can be the exact thing another person would gladly pay serious money to learn. You wave it off as no big deal because you live inside it every day, and meanwhile someone across the table is quietly amazed that you can do it at all.

Once that clicked, I stopped underpricing myself and started paying attention to the moments people leaned in. The thing that makes you say it is nothing, everyone knows this, is usually the thing worth the most, precisely because it is rare and you cannot see the rarity from the inside. Your job is to notice what you make look easy, then package it so the people who need it can actually buy it.
