If you're a teenager or something, then you don't necessarily know how it was before. If you've known the world without Facebook and stuff, you know, they might think you're a dinosaur, but life was very, very different.

I mean, the biggest revolution that I see in recent memory is Instagram. You don't actually realize how much it changed people's behaviours, people's culture, people's perception of themselves and perception of others.

Some people are just obsessed with Instagram, with the image that they will portray on Instagram. Some people I mean, their life is Instagram, right? You have arguments over Instagram. Oh, why do you like this picture? Oh, why didn't you watch my story? Why didn't you do this?

I don't use it like that. But, you know, not that I'm an exception and everybody's an idiot, but Instagram has become oh, look at my fake life. Which is better than your fake life. Right?

That's pretty much what it is, because on Instagram, you don't see people's like daily life and regular life. You just see the fake highlights, you know, filters and blah, blah, blah and all that kind of stuff, you know?

Everybody is fighting for attention. Everybody wants all eyes on them. You know, it's fascinating how like how things have changed. You know, I saw a bunch of quotes that said, you know, I'm glad I grew up in the eighties or something like this, because at the time you could afford to mess up and stuff.

When I was a kid, I mean, I've done the stupidest things on the planet. And there is not someone who, like, videotaped me or took a like tagged me or something like this. We could get away with doing stuff, you know, whereas today you can't.

And everything today is about how do I get attention? You know, I want everybody to look at me. There was this girl, you know, just the type of girl that I cannot stand, you know?

She basically came up with this weird story, which didn't make any sense, that apparently there was some big announcement that said, oh, Bali is going to be closed until December and then you won't be able to leave and all that kind of stuff starting today, curfew and stuff.

You know something that she just pulled out of a hat, right. So she posted something on Instagram, but she posted it like lying down in bed with the kind of photos with the dark face and half naked. So you could see half of her breasts.

What was the point of being half naked to say something like this, which first of all, it's not true. I don't know where you get your sources from, but why do you have to be half naked for that? Just for you to get attention and for people to be like, oh, did you see a photo and stuff?

So I see people who are legitimately depressed when they don't have enough likes or stuff on their pictures. It I mean, they are actually suffering. And I think there are some like pathologies and stuff like, you know, people are getting depressed over Instagram now.

And that brings me to the quote that I saw, because, you know, that was the actual purpose of the podcast.

So quote says, “Everyone is working to be”.

But I'm working to disappear, and this is my philosophy and this is me, right, and I'm one of those guys I don't like to be visible. I don't want to go viral with anything, it’s not something I want. I don't want the attention. I actually want people to leave me alone, because here's the thing.

The attention will bring people to your doorstep, people calling you, people bugging you all the time. And the last thing I want my life is interruptions. I hate it. I hate the interruptions, especially now. I think, you know, now that I've been secluded in my house for the last four months now, something like that. I'm the happiest guy on the planet.

So even in everything I do right now, I have businesses where I mean these businesses are working and my face is not plastered on it. I do stuff. Nobody knows it's me. And I like to keep it this way. You know, I, I could go and try to go like personal branding, like the full blown personal branding and spend, you know, thousands of dollars plastering my face everywhere.

But I don't want to do that. I really don't. Because the opposite is what I'm trying to achieve. I have my businesses. They're running. They're making me good money. Nobody knows me. Nobody bugs me.

And I'm happy.

Winning means controlling your calendar, your income source, and your physical location independently of anyone else. Concretely: no required meetings, multiple income streams, and the ability to relocate within 30 days. Most people who reach this point describe it as the highest leverage life upgrade they ever invested in.

Most People Are Chasing Status. You Should Be Building Freedom.

The thing so many people are fighting for today is recognition, the look, the appearance of success, and plenty of them lose their path chasing it. I understand the pull because I felt it too. It is easy to confuse being seen as successful with actually being free. They are not the same thing. One is a costume you have to keep paying for, and the other is a system that pays you whether anyone is watching or not.

The alternative is boring and it works: build income and time freedom quietly, and let the results speak instead of the highlight reel.
