But still, instead of fixing it, it would be a much better idea not to make that mistake in the first place

I have a buddy of mine who is he's actually very successful. He works in branding, very, very famous. And he's trained a lot of people over the years.

OK, so he’s one of those people that you will go to for advice and motivation and strategy and all that kind of stuff. And it will help you.

OK, so he's working on a podcast. And I remember that when I was kind of like working on my podcast, because I was saying, oh, man, I'm going to start a podcast. And then I just wasn't doing it right.

He's the one who told me, dude, stop talking about it, just do it, OK? And it's actually what gave me kind of like a kick in the butt and got me to go and say, oh, you know what, let me go and start it.

And look at me today, you know, who would have thought, right? Four hundred seventy five episodes.

So anyway, so I was talking to my buddy and he was telling me some time ago, I mean, a long time ago, actually, I'm working on this podcast is going to be awesome and all that kind of stuff, blah, blah, blah. And I'm like, wow, dude, man, awesome.

So eventually today I spoke to him and I said, yeah, well, you know what? What's the URL of the podcast? And he told me it still hasn't been released. And I'm like, well, are you serious? What's the holdup?

How not to fail

Because, you know, when I was kind of like, struggling to start it, he's the one who told me, man, go for it. And now he's the one who was in this position. So I'm not saying this to make him look bad or anything. So I'm not even going to state the name or whatever.

He's always speaking on stage, he’s throwing masterminds and all that kind of stuff. So it's not someone who is just getting started and finding excuses. He has a few years and a few million dollars in sales under his belt and everything. And he's still training people to this day.

But still, because a lot of people just think that these people who made it, that's it. They know everything. And they will just start like this and it's going to work and blah, blah, blah. No, it's not the case. You know, it's the same problems as someone who hasn't started.

It's just that if you have a little bit more experience, then you develop some reflexes to help you get it started.

OK, so my plan is to talk to my buddy. I will call him and say, look, I don't want to hear your lame excuses. I don't know what the holdup is, but get it started. Just get it started, man. You know, we have a lot of things to say, and I think it could help a lot of people.

What I suspect the thing is, is he might want to do something like a video podcast, you know, and then you have to figure out, OK, so what camera do I use? How do I then edit the footage, how do I put it on YouTube and blah, blah, blah. I'm pretty sure that these are the sort of things that he's talking about, he's thinking about and that are holding him in down right now.

And what I want to suggest to him is, look, just do just do the same thing I do, right? You record a podcast. You start with audio, right? We start with audio. It's no problem. At least you have something out there. And then once you realize that, oh, man, you know what, actually enjoying doing this, then gradually you can move to video afterwards.

But if you keep postponing like this, then it's never going to happen.
