Are you Really Stuck At Your Job? Think Again…

Today we are going to talk about the different options you can consider if you feel stuck in your activity. This is especially true for coaches and consultants who very often end up with their backs against the wall.

I wanted to talk to you about a chat that I had with a dude who was a consultant. Okay. Because a lot of people say to me, oh, man, you should do some consulting, you know, like a podcast. You have a lot of things to say? And yeah, people have always been wondering why don't you do consulting and coaching and stuff like that? There is a lot of money to be made there. You could charge that much per hour and stuff.

So, you know, I already told you my time is more valuable than some extra money that I could make. Well, maybe if I go broke or something, the business stops running and stuff. Maybe I might look into consulting or something for a while. But I mean, as of now, I'd rather have more time than more money. Okay.

For now, consulting is not on my radar because the way consulting is traditionally done, means I have to block my time to be with someone, even if it's just once a week. It's a commitment. You have to be there once a week and stuff. So basically you're not free. And if you stop doing it, then you stop getting paid.

I was talking to this guy in the world of consulting. And he was like, oh, you know what? I really dig what you do and stuff. I wish I could do the same thing. But I'm a consultant. I'm kind of stuck in in what I do, you know, so I have to be there in the morning and then until 6pm or whatever with the clients and I'm stuck.

So remember what I told you about the industrial age and the digital age?

So a lot of people are still living in their head, even though around them is the digital age. They're still living as if we're in the industrial age where you needed the banker to give you some money and then you need like a big plant or a big company, a lot of employees. And you have a lot of overheads and all that stuff, you know. And this is why people tell you that business is risky.

You don't want to live in the past. You want to live in today's era where you can leverage the power of digital. The tricky part is that some people go too far with this idea of digital and they immediately see the ultimate level of digital. So this is what I was trying to explain to them. Maybe you can't do something exactly like me, but there are different levels, and if you think about it, you actually might be able to do the same thing.

OK, so let me give you an example of what he does now in consulting. It's like 1 to 1 consulting. Right. You go you spend the whole week with the client and you're like with them like 24/7. You do this and you do that stuff. Right. Which you can make good money with.

You know, some people are charging a thousand dollars an hour or something. I don't know how much people are charging. Depends on the field. But some people are making very, very good money with this thing. But still, they're kind of stuck. They have to be there one on one. And I told him, look, there are different levels, right. Instead of doing everything like really old school, you know, like one on one, there are other options that you have.

So the next level I told him is something that’s been around for quite a while and I think it's halfway between industrial age and the digital age. You organize a seminar or something. So you're going to dispense that information to a hundred people at a time. Just imagine how much more efficient it is than doing it one on one.

I mean, in terms of your time management and your income perspective. OK. So this is what I mean, at a seminar, if you structure it, well, you can actually influence and help a lot of people at a time and still find the time to answer a question right after the session or between the sessions or whatever.

OK, so you don't have to do the exact same thing I do, to have more leverage. OK. Because this is leverage. If you have the same information, you're giving it to 20 or 100 or 200 people instead of one person, and then basically you can multiply your income accordingly.

You know, something like this, because obviously they're not going to pay the price of the one on one consulting thing, but it's a numbers game, right? With the numbers, you're going to make more, with pretty much the same effort.

You can do it today and you can organize seminars and stuff. And different people can come to it.

So that was the first level. But there is another level, bro. So the other level is that you can record a training course like an online training. You can do that. Right. So this is the ultimate leverage, right? It's the ultimate leverage. Why? Because you will record this thing once and then afterword you can just resell it until infinity. All right.

Nobody has to move or nobody has to leave their house. They can do it from the comfort of their home. They can do it anywhere they want. And you don't have to be there. You don't have to throw your seminars and all that stuff. You just have to record that information once.

So you need to make sure that when you're recording that kind of stuff, you answer all the questions that they could have. So it takes a little bit of time. Right. So you have to be very descriptive. OK.

So you open this and you click there and you see this green button there and you clicked here and then now this is what's going to happen. All right. So it's a little bit annoying. But here's the thing, man.

Once you've done this, then you can sell this thing to a million people if you want to. You don't have to leave your house. They don't have to leave theirs. And you can have a hundred thousand people watching this at the same time from anywhere on the planet. So if you're like a coach or something, this is definitely something you should be looking into.

You just have to leverage the digital industry.
