So for today's episode, I wanted to talk to you about something that was said at the event I was a speaker at, and it actually reminded me of something I heard before and something that made me think really hard.

OK, so one of the speakers was talking about the importance of finding your “Why”. And, you know, one question that people ask very often is, but dude, how do I know when I found the “Why”?

Because there is a profound reason why you're doing stuff, why you want to build a business, why you want a passive income. There is a reason why you want to do it, OK? And you have to identify the reason which is something very deep and not necessarily just that you want more money.

The speaker said that if you ask why, like five times or something, for example, I don't want to go out. Why? Because I'm tired. Why? Because I want to say why? Because I was feeling lonely and why? Then you can uncover the actual reason behind stuff.

So apparently it takes five times, which I didn't know and I think is pretty interesting. So it's funny how people have different ways of getting to the actual root cause of stuff and finding the reason that's beneath the surface.

So anyway, he was saying he gets the question very often and I do get that question as well. Let me give you my example. My “Why” was influenced by other people before me, so I just assumed that I just wanted to travel, I needed travel in my life and stuff. And that was the driving force of my life and everything, because people led me to believe that because I was traveling all the time and they were like, Oh man, you just want to travel.

How to make sure that you found your reason why.

Well, it turns out that wasn't my why and I found out about it over time. So it could be that sometimes you find a why and then your why might change. It started with something and then afterwards you will realize, I don't know, some people said once you have kids and stuff then your why is going to change.

Stuff like that or some events in your life are going to change things for you. All right. So my why changed over time, but how do you know if you find your why?

And the importance of finding the why is what is if you don't have a good reason why you're doing stuff, then you're just going to give up when things start getting tough and things are going to get tough man. I mean, there will be a lot of work to do. There'll be sleepless nights and your brain is always going to be thinking about something. You have to make some sacrifices and all that stuff.

So you need a good reason why you're doing this. All right. So once you have it, if you have a good enough, why, then the rest doesn't matter. Right. It's just irrelevant. These are just small obstacles on your way to whatever it is that you want to accomplish.

So when people ask him, how do I know if found my why? He has a very good response. And I really like it because I was trying to find ways of formulating that. But his example is pretty cool. So he said, look, if you will be willing to go to Siberia and break rocks for a year in the cold and stuff for that, then it is your why.

So when I heard it, I was like, dude, this is extreme and I don't want to be successful that much. But more and more, after a while, I realized that once you find this, will basically like you will be happy to go to Siberia to break some rocks in the snow for like a full year to get that.

Then you are motivated. Right. This is a high level of motivation which is pretty close to where you want to breathe. We all want to breathe. And the people who are successful are the ones who have this burning desire.
