I'm pretty sure I've already spoken about this, but, you know, it’s important that it's not just business. So this does have something to do with business, but it has to do with like pretty much everything in life.
You meet a lot of different kind of people. So people can promise you anything under the sun. So you talk to these people and they're like, yeah, I am going to do this and then I'm going to do that and blah, blah, blah. Oh, sounds good.
They seem very genuine. It looks like they're going to do it. And then afterwards, when it's time to deliver, nobody's there. And that's what I'm going through at the moment. Some people I trusted with their willingness to go and do what it takes to change their life and learn and stuff like that, telling me I'm so motivated, I'm going to do this, I'm so committed and blah, blah, blah, etc.
Well, it turns out that so far I haven't seen anything. So maybe there is a good explanation for it, but I haven't seen anything. And I feel there are two types of people.
One person did some massive action. I like that is really cool. Whereas other instances where people have just said I'm going to do this, I'm going to do that. I still haven't seen it. Until I get to the bottom of what the problem could be or whatever, right now, if you ask me, I'd rather go with the type of person who delivers on what they said.
I'm talking about hustle. I'm talking about putting in the efforts. I'm a person who rewards efforts and values efforts, you know. So it could be that the results were not there because you never know ultimately, the market, the clients and the prospect and stuff, they're the ones deciding. Right.
But at least the effort is there. And this is what I really, really look for in people. A constant effort, because that's how you make a difference. It's the constant little efforts and little tweaks and the little things that you add every single day. They're actually going to add up. And then one day your masterpiece is ready and then it can run without you.
I'm saying show up. You know, you show up every day. And for me, I mean, some people might not care about this. I do care a great lot about this. If I see that in someone, that's it. I'm sold on that person. If that person shows up, it means a great deal.
You can discipline yourself to go and spend hours working on and implementing stuff. If you ask me, everybody has it, you know, everybody has that in them. It's just that some people just convince themselves that they don't. But that's the reason why some people have results and some people don't because they may actually be focused and work on it for like an hour, two days, three days.
And afterwards it sucks. And then they give up, whereas if you keep working on it. You kept working on it for months and months, maybe like a year or something. And now when everything clicks it’s because you already worked on your email sequence maybe a year ago and then six months ago you worked on that funnel and you on those landing pages and stuff.
And then before you worked on your tracking systems, you know, using stuff to be able to track and do some split testing. But this could be a work of like two years.
There are 2 types of people in this world…Choose wisely
So don't listen to what people are telling you about what they're going to do, how motivated they are. Look at what they do. It will tell you a lot more than what people will tell you. I mean, people will tell you anything. They will tell you anything to be sold. But it's very easy to fake stuff with your mouth, like, I'm going to do this, trust me and blah, blah.
It's hard to actually fake showing up every day. That's a very small percentage that is actually doing it. The biggest percentage is people who either don't do anything because it's just not them. They're not going to show up every day.
Stop listening to what people are saying. Look at what people do.
