So this episode is special. Why is it special? Because today it's Wednesday. But you won't hear this until Saturday. I'm pretty sure. The reason being that I'm on this island you know. Yeah. And I told you where I bought some land for my turtles. And to my great surprise when we got here, there's no Wi-Fi.
My phone doesn't work either. I don't have signal and it's impossible for me to upload the podcast right. And. Well you have two options. Either you completely give up and you're like yeah you know what. I don't do the podcast or you still do the podcast and just upload it later.
So I Just wanted to shoot this podcast here for just one reason. Just to show you by example. If you stay committed and if you stay consistent, people are going to appreciate it. OK. And you're going to get results you're going to get noticed at some point.
I'm very happy. The website is out. Hopefully you had a chance to go and check it out and start training or something. Remember there are some free trainings for you guys on the website.
So anyway, I wanted to tell you a little bit about the conversation that I had with someone here at the hotel, next to the pool.
So the person was like “oh dude what you do?” And I'm like “oh well you know what. I have some online businesses here and there. I do this and I start projects and everything”. And that person was like “oh but aren't you afraid of failing because if you fail you'll look like a fool in front of your friends and parents and stuff”. Now a lot of people have the problem of wanting to do something, you want to try but you're like “dude what if what if I fail?” you know?
It's understandable that people have this well just because we are taught in school that you can't make mistakes, right? If you make a mistake, then you're punished. So it's wired in our brain. You know if you make a mistake or whatever then you're a failure which is absolutely not the case.
But what I asked them was “dude what do you do.? And he was like “Oh I work in this factory” or something. “Oh OK. Do you like your job? And do you like your boss?” “No I hate the guy”. And I was like “well there you go”. So that argument and the question now was who you think is the bigger fool? Someone who hates his job and hates his boss and complains about it and doesn't do anything about it or me? The fool is the person who is not doing anything while complaining okay.
If you don't do anything because you're satisfied with your life and you like it then yes you're fine. But, if you're complaining about your life and you're just staying there and you don't do anything about it then you're a bigger fool than the person who is trying and making a step forward to change their life.
I want you guys to realize this because either you stop complaining or you do something about it. But if you're complaining that you don't like your job and you do something about it, you're a hero, regardless if it works or if it doesn't work.
Are you going to look like a fool if you fail?
And what if it doesn't work? Now remember what I told you in business? The good thing in business is that you only need to get it right once. You don't have to succeed all the time. Sometimes it will “fail”. But you don't care. Once you find the one that works then you're good you go all right. And even when you “fail”, you're not failing man, you just found out something that doesn't work.
Back from 3 days without WiFi.
So you are one step ahead of someone who hasn’t tried. So you learn something. Don't think of failure as a disaster or something. It's always an opportunity to learn something. You made one step forward and you've learned something.
So this person I was talking before….. I asked him that question, who's the bigger fool? And then you should have seen the look on his face! He was like “wow you know what? I've never actually looked at it this way”.
So if I try, what's the worst thing that can happen? My life stays the same. The best thing that can happen is that I get a better life. And in the other case, what's the best thing that can happen? Life stays the same and definitely doesn’t get better.
