Your world is YOURS.
Hey guys, today we are going to talk about how you can take anything that already exists and make it yours. Basically, how you can build on existing successful methods and create your own.
I have one of two things I want to do today. You know I told you to try to limit the number of things you want to do to one or two. There are two things I need to do today and maybe by then I'll be done with it. And then afterwards the rest is just bonus. If I want to do something, I do it.
I'm going to start a new habit. I wanted to encourage you to do the same. Try to do something. You can either start or stop something. And you'll see that with encouragement and knowing that other people did it, then its way easier because you think it's impossible. It is possible and even the first try it's possible.
Me I managed to do this podcasting and going out of my comfort zone. So for me it was not just like podcasting, just the mechanics of talking in the microphone and stuff. That's just the mechanics. So even just this could take a while and a few tries before you get the habit. But for me it was also going completely out of my comfort zone because I'm not like a public person. I'll just keep things to myself.
So I've really had to go out of my comfort zone and be everything I'm not. You know so everything I'm doing now. All this transformation that I have right now where you know I created my personal branding stuff. I had to shoot some videos and I had to record some podcasts. But this was hard.
So it was two things that I had to conquer right. So having the habits of recording but also going against everything I've always done in my life. Just imagine twenty five years of keeping stuff to yourself and being as discreet as possible and then you have to change that.
So if I was able to do that on the first try, you realize that it's possible for you to change something you want to do or something you want to stop. All right. It is possible. So yeah that was the first thing I wanted to tell you.
And the second thing is with regards the blueprints that you might find and what someone else is doing. So having examples of successful blueprints where a person says you know what you do….. one two three four five six seven steps. Do this exactly. And it will work and stuff. It is true right. It's true that it worked.
But I have to insist on something. It worked for that person specifically. So I make this distinction and I'll try to be clear about it because I never actually explained that to anybody. So what I mean is that I can tell you what works for me.
Your world is YOURS
And the reason why I did it this way is because it's me. It matches who I am and what I want to achieve in life. I can give you that and if you apply this, it's going to work. But is it exactly what you want to do? Maybe not.
You could apply it and it will work and it will make you happier and it will help you achieve your own personal goals. But you don't have to do it exactly as I did it. Right. You can change something that will make it more personal for you.
For example, I built a blueprint of how I was able to quit my job and travel, having a blog and stuff and this is how I monetized the blog and everything.
If I give you this blueprint it will work right. It will work on your blog and stuff will work. But maybe you don't want to travel? So there is something in there that you can change. Maybe you’re thinking “I don't want to travel. I just want to be home with my kids and I want to do some pottery or something or I like to play guitar” or whatever. So you can make it your own. All right.
So you know it's very easy to get too attached to the system where you feel the need to do the same thing exactly how someone else did it.
You know it's good in the sense that they give you some guidance and they show you something that works for them. But I want you guys to do when you see something like this is to make it your own. You don't have to do the exact same thing. There is not only one way of doing things.
So you get a blueprint and you can inspire yourself from that blueprint, but make it your own. It doesn't have to be exactly the same. Find someone who has the experience and went through all the trials and tribulations and can give you a methodology that works for them. Use this as a starting point and then you apply it because you know it’s systematized, but then make it your own.
