I told you that I did a Round the World tour for a good year and a half to two years. I was traveling all the time. And one of my objectives was to be able to write a book while I was traveling. This would have been my third book.

I was using a pen name because at the time I still had my job and in my books I was telling people to do stuff that I recommended them not to do in my day job, because it was the politically correct version of doing stuff and blah, blah, blah.

So I did publish two books. So the first book it took me took me quite a long time. I think it took me like a month or something to write it. The second one I actually wrote it while I was in Bali the first time.

So when I decided to travel and go around the world, I was like, you know what? I have at least 12 months, my ticket was a 12 month ticket. I want to write another book. And so I remember that I was travelling in Mexico, and I didn't do much when I was in Mexico in terms of writing a book.

But then I arrived in Tahiti, Bora Bora and then I went to an island called Moriya, which is not too far from Bora Bora, which is beautiful.

When I was there, I decided I should to start writing now. And the weirdest thing happened, that book that I said, I'm going to take maybe 12 months or something to write it. I was able to write it in like I think it was like three days, three days. The whole thing was done.

And I was shocked that I was like, wow, you know, I was usually not that inspired the stuff. And I was like, dude, this is crazy. You know, normally it will take me a lot more time to get everything written. But here in this case, it was just flowing.

And I mean the ideas were just coming and coming and coming. And next thing you know, I was able to write this book in like three days. I was like, wow. And so what ended up happening is that by the time I finished the trip in like a year, I think I wrote three other books, something like this.

Well, so when I say books, I'm not saying the like the dictionary or encyclopaedia or something. These are like smaller like shorter books like eBooks. But still maybe 80, 90 pages or something, which is pretty good.

How I was able to write a book in one EVENING

What I wanted to do was to basically go straight to the point and give people what they wanted. But, you know, ninety pages, these are pretty nice.

OK, but what changed? Because before I would have taken me a lot more time to do this. But one day a friend of mine told me something that opened my eyes to the whole concept and it explained a lot of things.

So my friend told me that when we came to Bali and, you know, and she was like, oh, you know what? It is very, very weird here. But I didn't feel that it was weird because I can see from a distance, you know, from afar.

And. I mean, it just hit me, I was like, oh, yeah, and because she was like, Yeah, well, she lives in Paris and she said, well, in Paris, everywhere you look, there is a building. There's something obstructing your view. Right. You have your next door neighbour looking at you straight in the eyes. Right. You open your curtains, there's someone in front.

And everywhere you look, there's something blocking your view. And here in Bali she found it really kind of like disorienting that she was able to see far. OK, and this is when it hit me. I was like, oh, yeah, you know what? I've had this feeling for a long time. You put the right words on it.

We’ve heard all these stories about, oh, this famous writer used to go to the countryside or something to write their books. God, this is you know, this is B.S. just for the show and stuff. I mean, just stay home. Just write your book. You know, at the time, I didn’t understand that.

And what I understood after that whole experience is that the reason why I was able to write those books very, very fast and why the inspiration was coming is because I could see. Everywhere I looked, I had space.

And I realized that, you know, you're your brain and your ability to think and stuff is actually going to be impacted a lot by the room you're in. If you have, like a wall right in front of your face, then it kind of like does the same thing to your mind, right?

So I really recommend you find some space to allow your creative juices to flow. It certainly worked for me. “abc affiliate”
