Today we are going to talk about how you can get quick and reliable results. I am going to tell you a story to illustrate my point and then we are going to deep dive into what exactly you need to do.

I just wanted to tell you a story of something that just happened to me today while I was working on stuff, which is a very, very powerful lesson.

So here's the thing, you know, a lot of people think oh, man, you're a genius and you can program and how do you build those sites and stuff like that? And, you know, the truth is that I don't know the first thing about building a site, my friend. I really don't. I kind of suck at it actually. I have people in my team who can actually do that.

So today, because we're working in different time zones, when I was working on my stuff, my website guy

was sleeping. I wanted some quick action, quick results, you know, because I was like inches away from finishing the stuff that's been bugging me for ages.

So there were a few things that I was trying to do. And it took me a while to find them. I know. And it's one of those things. Yeah it's going to take five minutes, you know, I was very optimistic and started working on it and it took so much time. It was crazy.

So there were like three or four things I had to do. It took me like half a day to do like three of them. And there was one I just couldn't find where it was. And I was racking my brain. It was giving me headaches and stuff. It was horrible. It was very bad and. My guy was sleeping and my friend Kay was here. She's actually very good at WordPress, but she's like self-taught.

She likes to troubleshoot stuff and find out how stuff works. And she actually created a course on WordPress and stuff. How to build your website when you're starting from zero and stuff, which is what she did. She didn't know the first thing about WordPress and everything, and then she worked to understand the mechanics and stuff.

And she was sitting right next to me and I was like, dude, you know, I've tried. I failed. And I was like, please, can you come here and help me out? I've been racking my brain and honestly for the last hour, this is what I was doing. And that's one thing I in my new course, for example, that I make sure doesn't happen.

Have you had the situation where you sent something in an email? Then at some point in your life and you don't know when it was and you don't know exactly what was in the email, you have to look for keywords to look at your sent emails and try to find it. Jesus Christ, I spent like an hour and a half trying to find that email where I recorded the video showing how to do it.

So if you're familiar with this, which I think a lot of people are now, you know what I mean. But now in my next course, dealing with clients, I teach people how to avoid that kind of stuff. Anyway, so I was there. I said, dude, can you please help me? I just can't find it.

And within, I don't know, 30 seconds, my problem was solved. 30 seconds. Instead of the hour and a half that I spent and probably the next four hours that I would have spent trying to find the information, if not more. I think it would have driven me mental.

So the message I want to give you here is this; when people ask me what's the best skill that you can have? The best skill you can have is to know who to ask. That's the best skill you can have because there is no way you're going to know everything. Right. You can't know.

Everything about PHP, about SSL and about LAN and your servers and e-mail and stuff. I have my system admin to do the genius. Jesus Christ he's good. I know my stuff on SMTP and email because that's where I come from. But I don't know how to build servers and maintenance and all the nitty gritty.

If it was me taking forever I just ask them and, and that's the same thing for WordPress and stuff. I could learn it but I have someone I can ask and this is priceless.

Why I stopped promising quick results, mine or yours

You want quick results. I get it, I wanted them too, and chasing them cost me years. Here is the trade nobody advertises: the faster the result, the shorter it lasts. The things that actually held up in my business were slow to build and hard to copy. I have run this experiment for 20 plus years and across 1,500 plus workflows, and the shortcuts almost always billed me later. If you plant something today, you do not dig it up next week to check the roots. You water it and wait. That is the boring truth behind every overnight success you admire.
